It has come to my attention through recent email messages and comments in the Guestbook section at fakeblades.com that Gillette has stopped manufacturing some of their Fusion and Fusion Power brand cartridges with machine/date codes known as serial numbers. I have been unable to confirm this information with Gillette but a reliable source has posted a comment confirming this information with Gillette customer service. More to come later including an update to the Gillette Fusion section on the Is it Counterfeit? page.

Here’s a firsthand datapoint: I just got a package of Fusion blades from Amazon (direct order, NOT an affiliate) that have no serial numbers. Nonetheless, they appear to be genuine. I can’t tell any difference in shave quality between these blades and known-genuine controls with serials numbers bought at the local drug store at full retail. By way of contrast, when I tried to shave with a counterfeit Fusion blade (ordered from an Amazon affiliate before I knew that counterfeits even existed) it nearly ripped my face off. If the serial-number-free blades I got directly from Amazon are counterfeits they are very, very good.
